Juggling too many balls in the air

St. Patty's Dau March 17, 2011 (2)

At my age (officially over-the-hill) I thought life would be calmer. But I find there is just more and more stuff I want to do. Still working full-time takes up a few hours. Then there are the hours I spend researching and submitting my manuscript to literary agencies and publishers. Of course, I love my local writers group, of which I chair and keep up their website and newsletter. I definitely need my weekly critique session with my beta reader.  I love volunteering for the Historical Museum.  Every time I drive passed the gym, I tell myself I need to go in and sign up for some aerobics or zumba or something (I can’t fit into any of my clothes anymore).  Oh, and I have a wonderful, patient husband that would like to see a little more of me than my head buried in this pc.

The question is – how do I do it all? Technically, I don’t because I keep driving right pass that gym. But for the rest. I sure give it the old college try. Some days I feel a little overwhelmed. Other times I think, I can do this – so sweat. But today, is hubby and mine favorite holiday. St. Patty’s Day. So we will dawn our green and change our name to O’Tailele and for one day will be as Irish as they come.  So, top of the morning to you. And go out there and catch a rainbow. We are off to party till we are green in the face.

Happy St. Patty’s Day.

There are two sides to every story. I like to write about the "other side." I like to challenge my readers to dig deep into their conscience and see life through someone else's eyes.
